Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center (BCDRC)
Alfred A. Cortez served as a volunteer mediator at the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center (BCDRC) for over six years before joining the staff in May 2007 as a Mediation Coordinator. In June 2012, he was selected as the Intake/Mediation Manager. In January 2015, he was selected as Director. He is trained in Basic 40 hour, Family Law, Children’s Court (CPS) mediations. He previously served 28 years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a graduate of George Washington University and St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is married to the former Sonia Tabares of Bogota, Colombia.
